Acadian Ambulance has an immediate opening for a Full-time Runner position at the Fleet Mechanic shop in Nashville, TN.
JOB SUMMARY: Assist the fleet maintenance department by delivering and picking up company vehicles scheduled for preventative maintenance or repairs. This task may result in driving for up to several hours in one day.

- Deliver and pick up company vehicles as requested to assist fleet maintenance with the performance of preventative maintenance or repairs.
- Pick up and deliver vehicle parts and supplies.
- Review equipment on ambulances and complete equipment checklists.
- Stock Ambulance with equipment, to include stretchers, oxygen bottles and other items which could weigh over 50 lbs.
- Wash company vehicles.
- Re-fuel company vehicles.
- Assist with shop maintenance—this includes, but is not limited to, sweeping, trash disposal, organizing supplies.
- Work with supervisors and crew members to coordinate the transference of vehicles to and from the vehicle maintenance shop. Utilize company radios and other communication methods.
- Perform all other duties as requested by supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Clean driving record. Current driver’s license (Class-C TX; Class-D LA/MS).

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Orientation to job requirements.
- Completion of Acadian gen. orientation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Specific situations that lead to environmental conditions can include: hazardous materials, electrical emergencies, vehicular accidents, outdoor emergency settings, hurricanes, tornadoes, industrial accidents, conditions affecting driving, settings where heavy equipment such as extrication tools are in use, etc.
